Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
so I keep kicking around the idea of drawing something based on “The Boy Who Cried ‘Wolf’ ” and I ran into a sort of weird discrepancy with its telling so I thought I’d ask all yall.
Who died at the end of The Boy who Cried Wolf?
The Boy
The Boy’s Sheep
The Boy and his Sheep
The Town’s Sheep
The Town’s Sheep and the Boy

the only bad part about going to the zoo is hearing adult men confidently tell their kids or gfs objectively incorrect information about the animals we’re looking at and having to remain silent. do u know the restraint it takes to say nothing when a grown adult man tells someone “falcons are in the same family as eagles” next to me? no babygirl. no.
fyi falcons are not closely related to other birds of prey (hawks/eagles/buzzards). falcons are actually parrots that minmaxed for a glass cannon dps build.
assault parrots, if you will
Grabbing people by their shoulders and shaking them until they can prove to me they know what “twink” means
I was listening to a bunch of LGBT+ ppl from Louisiana as a guest for a podcast and the topic of “twink” came up and they more or less were like, “yeah nowadays cishet ppl know saying ‘f*g’ raises eyebrows so they just say 'twink’ when they want to say 'f*g’ but it’s obvious what they want to say when they say the word,” and like, that’s basically it, right. Also they talked about lubed up jockstrap wrestling at a gay bar and how there was a cishet guy that participated because he just wanted to wrestle.
Nodding thoughtfully at this until you say “lubed up jockstrap wrestling” at which point I get so horny I think I hauve Covid
Replacing physical buttons and controls with touchscreens also means removing accessibility features. Physical buttons can be textured or have Braille and can be located by touch and don’t need to be pressed with a bare finger. Touchscreens usually require precise taps and hand-eye coordination for the same task.
Many point-of-sale machines now are essentially just a smartphone with a card reader attached and the interface. The control layout can change at a moment’s notice and there are no physical boundaries between buttons. With a keypad-style machine, the buttons are always in the same place and can be located by touch, especially since the middle button has a raised ridge on it.
Buttons can also be located by touch without activating them, which enables a “locate then press” style of interaction which is not possible on touchscreens, where even light touches will register as presses and the buttons must be located visually rather than by touch.
When elevator or door controls are replaced by touch screens, will existing accessibility features be preserved, or will some people no longer be able to use those controls?
Who is allowed to control the physical world, and who is making that decision?
The atomic bombings did not save lives. They didn’t end the war. The Japanese leadership didn’t even respond to them. We had already so thoroughly brutalized Japan at that point that the loss of two medium sized cities was a drop in the bucket. We annihilated over 30 Japanese cities before we dropped the bombs. The real reason we dropped them was to demonstrate to the Soviets that we had them. The Japanese surrendered because the Soviets were also about to launch an invasion and the Japanese Empire knew they’d get better terms negotiating with us.
Yeah no for sure the atomic bombings were targeting Unit 731 and not like. Cities of civilians. You know, because of how much the US went after Unit 731.
the American occupation forces literally granted many personnel involved in Unit 731, including Shirō Ishii (its lead director), legal immunity from war crime tribunals in exchange for their contribution to US bioweapon research. Japanese war crimes were never a priority, and in some cases they were even an asset, for the United States during and after the war.
In case people weren’t aware, there seems to have been a massive issue throughout Patreon. People have had their subscriptions cancelled and many had their payments flagged as fraud with their bank.
150$ of my patronage disappeared, that’s 150$ a month as a disabled artist that took months to build that I’m unsure I’ll ever get back..Gone. It won’t allow me to message anyone whose payments were declined.I also had around 10 people’s payments flagged as fraud, some have had to re-patron.
If you’re supporting Patreon creators I advise you look to see if at least the people you remember supporting are still there / that your payments aren’t marked as fraud, especially if you’re supporting for physical rewards you’re expecting.if you’re supporting folks on patreon, please take a peek & try to re-pledge if you can! this comes as a surprise to many who cannot afford to be surprised. thanks so much!
Check on your creators, see if you still have access to the comics you want to see!
